Atari Mace Question???
« on: March 30, 2004, 10:36:02 pm »
I recently snagged an Atari "Mace - The Dark Ages" PCB off eBay.  The manual wasn't included with it and I can't seem to find any information online about it either.

Can anyone here tell me how to bring up the options screen (what header or jumpers to close)??? (or a website that has the pinout info)

Its a Atari/Midway board ... aweful similar to MK4 minus the HD.

If anyone knows off hand how to bring up the options on MK4 that would be good to know to ( I imagine its about the same method as the above board ... whatever happened to using dip switches for that feature  ??? )

Thanks for the help in advance  ;D

Is the board jamma? If so it might be the same pin-out that midway boards use. Also mortal kombat boards had the test setup switches on the coin door.
Curls in the squat rack !?!?!

nevermind ... I got lucky I guess and just happen to figure it out

noticed the "Factory Test" headers had no jumpers ... so I add some and pressed the "Test" button and bingo ... there was the game options screen ... woohoo  :D

btw .... my first time playing this particular game ... it definitely kicks --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules-- ... nice graphics and some of the coolest fatalities I've seen in a long time.  Can't believe I never seen this game in my local arcade ... what a bummer  :-\

Man its going to be a long time before there's a fast enough PC to play this game at full speed in a MAME cabinet ... lol ... long time  ;D
