Source for illuminated P1/P2 buttons?
« on: March 29, 2004, 08:21:45 am »
does anyone know of a source for the old-style miniature P1/P2 start buttons that would light up when a quarter was inserted?  they were usually orange, if i remember correctly, and much smaller than regular buttons.  they were on top of a raised button surface.  i looked in all the usual places and couldn't find much of anything, and i even had a hard time coming up with a picture of some as an example, but i think they're on the left side of the attached picture (from an Xevious panel).  it seems like they were most often used on cocktail cabinets, but i could be wrong about that.

anyway, any pointers would be much appreciated.

I'm working on having them repro'd.  They're a really simple device.  I called Cherry and they quoted me $25,000 just to get the tooling done!  I know it can be done much cheaper than that.  Especially since the switch part is already done.
