New Smart Strip Option
« on: March 23, 2004, 03:01:59 pm »
http://www.bitsltd.net has a new smart strip option.  Their LTG1 will now power up selected outlets 30 seconds after your PC is powered up.  Has anyone tried this?  I want to get one for a cabinet with arcade monitor that has a cheapo computer in it that will not take an AGP card.

This might be the ideal solution for use with an arcade monitor for anyone going with AdvanceMAME without the ArcadeVGA card.  It might be able to power up the screen only after Windows has booted all the way into a front end.

Hmmm thats actually quite interesting... pretty good for all those of us who don't want to see Windows at all... too bad you can't adjust that delay to be whatever you want.

I expect one of the clever guys here will figure out how to do that too.  :)

I just ordered one.  From the website, it is adjustable from 22 to 34 seconds.  My Windows 98 boot should fall somewhere in there so I don't think I will be the one fiddling with the adjuster.
