Mounting Happ Ultimate Joystick
« on: March 20, 2004, 11:30:03 pm »
Hi there everybody, this is my first post on these forums so i'll try and make it good.

I'm pretty new to the arcade game (no pun intended) and maybe I'm just missing something big, but I have no idea how to mount the joystick like it is shown here.  My main problem is, for the 8 way actuator to actually hit the micro switches, the joystick has to be pulled up.  The spring pushes it out farther than the microswitches.  Am I just supposed to mount it with the washer holding the tension of the spring?  I thought that would be a stupid way of mounting it.  Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem the first time that I tried to mount a joystick. In the diagram you referenced the part 95-1308-00 or 95-1306-00 go onto the joystick shaft before the shaft is placed into the joystick base. You will have to push the joystick shaft down slightly to put the actuator and c-clip on.

That is my understanding from what I saw when I installed my Super joystick anyway. I hope that helps a bit.

Thanks, that works perfectly.  That picture was really confusing...

I thought those plastic rings went on the holes on the side or something...  ???
