Anyone used these buttons?
« on: March 20, 2004, 11:26:36 pm »
In my hunt for transparent buttons other than the Wicos I came across these at Centsible Amusements...
http://www.centsibleamusements.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=679

Anyone tried these yet? They are microswitch style buttons and are slightly convex, which I've never played with before  :-\

Thanks

I love the looks of them but I grew up with concave buttons so I ended up using the leaf switch type translucent buttons. Its a shame they don't offer concave versions of these though. :(

Hey are those buttons comps (convex)?! I mean does anyone know for sure? If so I am gonna buy me some of those. They look really tight and would go great on my cabs that I am building. Thanx.

Just in case you missed them, these guys have the leaf switch "Wico" style too. The best part about this is that you don't have to deal with the morons at Wico.

Hellfromabove, yes the ones Knievel posted are convex style. If you like the Happ comps them you'll probably like those too. You can't beat the look of translucent/transparent buttons especially when they're back lit with a nice big fluorecent light underneath your control panel. Thats what I did with mine rather then trying to mount a led or miniature lamp next to each individual button and it looks wild.

Thanks SM that was my thinking too. Not sure I'd like the convex style but I think the button face looks a lot nicer than the wico's.

Glad you spotted this post Hellfromabove. I noticed you were looking for these and I was going to e-mail you the link. They are definately convex, the exact specs are on the first page I quoted.

If you're looking for LOTS of them you can order a gross from China ;D
