Who sells top fire sticks besides Happ?
« on: March 20, 2004, 05:14:30 pm »
I need a top fire super or similar joystick for a customer. I don't have a credit card, and happs only seems to be a credit card place.

Who else sells these? There don't seem to be any on ebay at the moment, and Bob Roberts doesn't seem to carry them.

RandyT does at www.groovygamegear.com

Also www.wicothesource.com, but it might take you a while to get it.

Where are they at groovygamegear? I see those switchable joysticks, but I don't see any of the kind that have fire buttons on them like I need.

Ok, I found them. I literally had NO IDEA that they had stuff besides encoders and those special switching sticks. Perhaps a website revamp to hilight that stuff a bit more should be in order?

Looks like I can cut Bob Roberts out of this order altogether. I was going to order a Ms. Galapac stick too, but the Omnistick basic looks like it would be fine for that.

Can you post where on the site I would find it or a direct link?

Also, does the Real Bob Roberts sell a top fire?  As I dont see it listed on his stie.

Click on the cart and then click controllers, or (get ready) - go to

AFAIK, Bob Roberts does not sell these.

Groovygamegear has a lot more stuff, but it is hidden underneath the "store" link near the upper right hand corner.

Anyway, it seems like they only take credit cards to, but I sent a message to randyT asking to use money order, as he is an actual person and not a big faceless company, and thus is much more likely to make an exception.

No, Bob doesn't stock top fires to my knowledge. Not much demand for them other than for use in claw grabbers, which isn't really Bobs area.

Wow! What a great example of bad website design!   :-\

Regardless of design, I am very glad I found that stuff. That is going to really streamline my ordering process for future projects. I THOUGHT I was going to have to order from 4 vendors for this project (top fire 8-way, dedicated 4-way, 4 buttons, spinner), but it looks like randy-T and oscar will be the only ones that I am going to have to deal with.

Well now that a few of you have found this extra "stuff" and it is posted here, it should be much easier for other people as well. They have a number of interesting items.

I'll say! I have the Betson/Imperial PS2 trackball, and I had NO IDEA that there was an upgrade kit available for it. It had never even occured to me to look, but I will certainly be getting one now that I know about it.

Just wanted to let you all know that RandyT came through for me, and accepted my non-credit card order.

At the last minute I decided to buy an extra pair of those top fire sticks. I needed one for a customer, but I can't stand buying something for a customer that I don't own myself. (Same reason I bought an extra keywhiz max, and the same reason why I will probably order two oscar spinners when I make my order from him).
