eBay joysticks
« on: March 17, 2004, 12:35:23 pm »
Hi,

Anyone know what kind of joysticks these are?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=3281300622

Also, are any of that seller's joysticks any good?

I'm looking for Sanwa or Seimitsu joysticks (preferrably the short ones but I haven't been able to find ANY of those)

Thanks!

Goz

Look like they could be Sanwa's. I have purchased some joys from him in the past. I think he imports a bunch of diff stock in from China. I would ask the seller. I've gotten good response from him in the past.

I know ultimarc's J-Stick is a variation of one of Sanwa's.  I thought the one's with the plastic on the bottom were Seimitsu.  Could be wrong, though.

They're generic Sanwa joysticks. They work just as well, though. I, too, have purchased items from that particular seller and have been satisfied.
The only thing I didn't like was that all his microswitches came w/ auxiliary actuators. But I guess that only matters if you're purchasing pushbuttons.

Is there any reason to get the J-Stick from Ultimarc instead of this one off ebay? What are the differences?

I don't care about easily switching the joysticks, I want two dedicated 8s and one 4 way (all the same kind of joystick).
