Cabinet prices, how much is too much?
« on: March 12, 2004, 03:24:16 pm »
Hey guys,

Well I've been offered an empty cabinet for 140$, with coin door (used not worth much i guess). Its in average condition, plexiglass is there etc, just needs painting. I still think its too much. I was thinking max 100$, what do you guys think? How much should I bee paying for an empty cabinet? (Links to 'buying a cabinet" on the main page don't work")

Depends on the cab and city you're in.
I bought mine for $50.00 but it only holds a 19in monitor. I'm in Houston,TX so its pretty dry here as far as cabs go, so I was pretty lucky to even find that.
I would have been more than willing to pay $140 for a cab that would hold a 25in monitor and a bigger CP.

That price really depends on kind of cabinet it is.

If it is William's title with sideart, a nice condition Nintendo cabinet, a "Deluxe" type cabinet, or a POPULAR Atari cabinet with sideart, then that isn't TOO bad.

But if it is a painted over cab, or a woodgrain one, then it better look fresh out of the crate for $140.

If you are near ST. Louis then I will sell you one for less. I have a couple available, inluding a Williams Defender with sideart (currently on ebay for $1).
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I bought a Xevious cab in great condition for $14 (before buyer's premium and sales tax) at an auction.
