Ok, just finalising my plans, in prep of getting the MDF sheets at the end of the month.
The intention is to get a 27" WG D9200 monitor (max unit width of 24.390", by their specs), when I can afford it.
I have a restriction on the width of the cab due to the width of the doors in our house (29.75"). Hence I was thinking I would leave an inch either side (is that enough

), then using 5/8" MDF (16mm actually, but close enough) gives me a total cab width of 27.64", and everything is happy !
Now I had originally hoped to use a Happs 27" bezel, but from:
http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=12445;start=msg97001#msg97001the bezel is 29.5" wide (thats some serious overhang either side). Once the MDF is added to both sides, I couldn't get the unit through the doorways ...
So, has anyone made their own bezel (and can hit me with some pointers, like what material you used, how it looked etc ?
Else if you didn't use a bezel, how did you present your monitor within the cabinet ?
Cheers
