Arcade Game Inspired Thrash Metal
« on: October 02, 2025, 05:48:39 pm »

Album Name: Arcade Onslaught
Included Tracks: 25 (+1)
Total Play Time: 98 minutes, 27 seconds (+6 minutes, 40 seconds)

Arcade Onslaught is a thrash/hard metal double album I put together using a combination of AI and conventional PC tools.  I focused on making these songs as realistic sounding as possible... if you find something ... ANYTHING ... that doesn't meet that expectation... feel free to discuss.  As with my last project... I did it for me... but you're welcome to it as well.  100% FREE.  When it asks for a donation amount at bandcamp to download... just put in 0.00 ... it's that simple. I do hope you enjoy this... and frankly... if you're in to aggressive forms of metal... I think you will.

The YouTube links on the BYOAC post aren't working for me, but the ones on bandcamp do.
They copy and paste as http://"http//youtu.be/uzqz_TLaaF0%22 if that helps.

Only listened to a few, but am digging Trigger the Undead (listened multiple times).

I'm impressed with the lyrics on CarnEvil Calls.  Lots of interesting wording choices.
I am curious exactly what is AI and what is not if you are willing to share.

If you're taking requests or looking for ideas, I'd like some grunge.
The crunchy heavy guitar stuff, not the whiny 2000's pop radio stuff.

Thanks for the report.  I fixed the youtube links.

The lyrics are a combination AI/personal effort.  AI still likes to mix things up... and just straight up get things wrong.  I would create a lyric ... then go through it fixing the errors and sometimes completely re-writing whole passages due the dumb system mixing up the latest Ghosts and Goblins game (for example) with the classic.  I'd estimate about 50-60% of the lyrics generated were modified or completely re-written.  Being more familiar with some games than others,  I found those games easier to do so.  Some games I'd never played before (Evil Night for example)... I watched a bit of youtube and read up about the game, etc...

Grunge would be an interesting project.  I was thinking Metalcore could be fun too.

I got eviscerated over at the Neo-Geo forums for >ghasp< the project being AI... (even though I was up front about it)... so in their honor I was thinking my next project will be a Neo-Geo dedicated project... dedicated to those fine chaps who stuck my post in their War Room (thereby killing the post as I don't do war rooms anymore... just too old and not enough time in life)...

:D
