Picture zoomed in in CRT monitor
« on: August 17, 2025, 01:58:16 pm »
Hello and good evening,
i have an arcade cabinet running pandora box that has a CRT 21" intervideo with a SIVID sl/750012500 chassis and i have an issue with the picture on the screen.
it is very zoomed in and changing the h amp and v amp controls, does nothing. it stays zoomed in.
Any ideas what to look for?

I don't know anything about that set up as far as the CRT, but depending on the PB model it may have three different outputs as far as screen size go. To switch between them you hold down the service button (the one that gets you into the service menu) and then turn the power on. Release the button and when it boots up it will automatically be in the next screen size setting.

From Google AI:

Button Combination (power on with settings button):

Turn off the system: Ensure the Pandora's Box is completely powered off.
Press and hold: Locate the "setting" button (often on the mainboard) and hold it down.
Power on: While holding the button, turn on the Pandora's Box.
Change resolution: Release the button after a few seconds. The system should cycle through available resolutions. Common resolutions include 1280x720, 640x480, and potentially 384x224 for older CRT displays

Hope that works for you! It worked on mine to adjust to 640x480.

thank you for your reply.
unfortunately this is not the issue. i tryed changing the resolution on the Pandora box but it did not help.
When the issue first happened i smelled something burned and the image got smaller and changing back to the normal size. After a while it got zoomed in and since hen i can not get it back to the correct size.
I think a capacitor failed but i have no idea witch one..
