Noise issues with Nanao ms9-29
« on: January 01, 2025, 05:08:21 pm »
Happy new year!!!

Hi, I’ve got a Nanao ms9-29s-e monitor with a brand new cap kit. I’m using a GBS8100 for conversion from the VGA to the CRT. In my first try I was using Batocera with the 15khz scripts, but I wasn’t getting any signal. Now I’m using the 8100 to interface the machine and I get a whole bunch of distortion on the screen. Is there something I need to check on the monitor in order to remove all that junk from the screen?

also, do you have information on making the cable for outputting 15khz for the monitor I did the pinout correctly, but without any luck on getting stuff on the screen. I read somewhere that you need to add an XOR chip for the vga signal on the H V sync stuff. I dunno…

Since nobody replied, the problem that I was having was a faulty pc PSU. So if you have noise issues in your monitor, check the PSU first.
