RiddledTV 2-way JAMMA Switcher not working
« on: August 25, 2024, 06:18:18 am »
Hi all,

I am finally getting close to completion with my first arcade build. I have a PC with a J-PAC and a MiSTercade inside, both connected to a RiddledTV 2-way JAMMA switcher so I can easily swap between which device is connected to the control panel. For some reason, it's not working as expected so if anyone has any suggestions I can try it would be greatly appreciated! Below is how I have it setup and attached is a schematic of the layout.
  • MiSTercade power is directly fed with +5V/+12V/-5V/GND from the arcade PSU (I wanted to leave it always powered up regardless of which device is connected to the control panel)
  • MiSTercade control lines are connected to input B of the JAMMA switcher and a J-PAC is connected to input A
  • JAMMA switcher power is directly fed with +5V/+12V/-5V/GND from the arcade PSU
  • The Game Switch is using a dedicated button setup as per the RiddledTV schematic

In this setup the switch does activate the relay, I can see that either LED 'C' or 'D' is illuminated and I can hear the relay activation, and +5V/-5V/+12V power LEDs are illuminated. However, the PC on input A is always active and the control panel buttons are only visible to the PC regardless of whether LED C or D is illuminated.

Thanks
