  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
4 Player Pedestal using a Zero Delay encoders for each control set.  They work great, but Windows deciding to move the Controller IDs around on each and every restart, is beyond aggravating.  Each and every restart can cause IDs to get shuffled, and player 1 (physical) becomes player 4 (physical), etc.  Why there's no option to hard lock these IDs in Windows is beyond annoying.

But this post isn't about venting.  There's a solution on the market that looks absolutely amazing!  https://pactotech.com/products/copy-of-pacto-tech-4000t-4-player-control-interface-for-arcade-cabinets-supports-xinput-protocol

The question I have, if anybody can point me in the right direction.  The cabinet I have, boasts a set of these:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/363689239855

They work great, but they're 3 pin molex connectors.  The new board I'm eyeing has the + and - for the buttons using a common ground, but no LED 5v.  I can easily splice the 3 pin molex connectors, but in doing this, what do I do with the + requirement for the LEDs?  I imagine the buttons I have (3 pin) are simply two separate +, one for the button and one for the LED, and they share a ground.

This should be incredibly easy to splice into the PactoTech 4 player X-Input board, but can somebody let me know how I can pull off also lighting up the LEDs of the buttons?  I'm looking at something like this:

Easy enough for sure to heat shrink all the +'s together, but how do I solve the - in this case?  Apologies for the basic question, just so fed up with the Windows Controller ID shuffle I'm going crazy.
