Columbus Ohio Auction
« on: March 05, 2004, 08:06:17 pm »
Anyone going to the US Amusement auction in Columbus tomorrow.  Look me up so we don't bid against each other :)... or just to say hi.

Look for the big guy, blonde hair wearing red shirt and jeans and I'll have a black LLBean backpack on.

Or just yell Hey Jim!... I'll find you :).

I wanted to go ... but looks like I will have to wait until the one in June.

I was there and I wrote the prices for the pins and the driving games.  I left during the the vids, there was nothing there but junk really.  I'll post the prices a little later.  If someone wrote all the prices for the vids I'd be interested.  Overall the prices were really high.

I didn't go to the one on March 6th, but the next US Amusement auction (at the Ohio State fairgrounds) is May 8th.

The June auction in Columbus is a Super Auctions (held at the Veterans Memorial Exhibition Center on Broad).  At Super's, you have to put up with that Mr. Do! Rag guy, who's the auctioneer's brother, or something like that (he shills items that travel from auction to auction, so when he's the highest bidder on something, it's only because the reserve price hadn't been met, so it goes to the next location where they hope someone "outbids" him).
