help w/arcade game monitor
« on: March 05, 2004, 03:49:21 pm »
I have a steel gunner 2 cabinet with no monitor.  I took the monitor out of another cabinet, it works, but everything is backwards (steel gunner2 uses a mirror).

Any thoughts on how to reverse the image on the monitor?  Any ideas of other forums where I might get an answer?

Thank you.

The problem is not the monitor, but probably the game board.

See if it has a dip switch to select the monitor installation type.. it's similar to many other games where you tell it to flip or not to flip the video out.

Some monitors have two connectors on the main monitor board that you can plug the yoke into. One gives a normal picture, but if you plug it into the other one you get a mirror image picture. Also, check out www.dameon.net/BBBB/yoke.html

Thank you both for the promising ideas.  I have accessed the in game menu to change the coin mode, etc.   There is a flid screen option, but that only changes it from right side up to up side down.

I will snoop around for some dip switches today.  Also, that website at Bob Roberts was very informative.

Thanks again.
