Value of this Galaga cabinet
« on: September 03, 2023, 01:55:26 pm »
Hi all - this Galaga cabinet is for sale locally for $400 CDN and was wondering what the crowd here thinks this is worth.

Seller says it worked up until a couple of years ago when it wouldnt get past the boot screen.  Apparently he put a new power supply in and there is something wrong with the video circuit.

Not sure what my plans would be but I would most likely put new artwork on and get the correct marquee.

edit doesnt look like the pics showed up - here are the links

I don't see any picture of the cabinet.
Anyway, applying new artwork is never a good idea: it's similar to abrade a valuable penny to have it shine. Keep the original artwork, signs of time and scratches on those beasts guys...

Probably worth what he’s asking if it’s complete and everything at least turns on.

Yeah. It is probably worth that.

But I don't like the way the neck board is hanging.

I would attach that correctly and go over the wiring harness before turning it on.

It looks like a mess.
