Radeon Cards Compatibility --> CRT Emudriver please help
« on: June 26, 2023, 04:33:22 pm »
Hello,

i'm planing to by a small PC with low power consumption for 2D Emu stuff. Spotted this one, but not sure if that will work:

https://gebrauchte-technik.de/HP-EliteDesk-705-G4-35W-AMD-PRO-A10-9700E-R7-4C-6G-8GB-256GB-WIN10-Mini-PC-hervorragend/M013884

On "Graphics" it says: Wani [Radeon R5/R6/R7 Graphics]

Not really sure what that means. There are some R5/R6/R7 Cards in the Compatibility list of CRT Emudriver, but what means "Wani" and why they name 3 "R" models?
Or maybe someone can show me another mini ITX unit, with working/compatible GPU?

sorry, english is not my native language

thanks for your attention

It is better to post this request under the GroovyMAME subfoum - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,52.0.html

Among many others, there is a thread a little like this one on the front page - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,167644.0.html

Hi schnitzel-schreck,

For Radeon APUs, use GroovyArcade instead of CRT Emudriver.

CRT Emudriver never got proper testing on older APUs and definitely doesn't work properly on modern ones (Windows driver lack fundamental features like interlaced video).
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
