Any printable patterns for DIY screen bezels?
« on: June 25, 2023, 09:17:51 pm »
I'm looking to make some with either poster board or foam board, as I have a ton of both. Are there any good patterns I can print that are already tried and true?

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,17175.0.html $2 bezel.

Not a pattern as such, but tried and true. You can go from there.

Made a $2 bezel a few months ago, roughly following that guide... except it cost even less, around 50c. Only needed a single sheet of card / poster board.

Once it was right, I used staples, in behind, to keep the tabs together. This looked even better than I imagined it would. The tabs and    staples are completely invisible when bezel is installed, and made the finished bezel feel a lot more resilient too. Used one of those tiny office staplers, a few per tab join.

Used a little PVA glue (for wood & paper), no staples, for the main structural tab connections (around the edges/corners where the sides join). These must sit tight and flush under glass or metal, so staples wouldn't work.
