Perfect 360 wiring
« on: March 04, 2004, 12:47:38 am »
Hello, I have made several arcade controllers. And they have all gone well, with very few problems. And I recently got a P360. And I can't figure something out. I am wiring the arcade controls to a playstation controller. And I look at the p360 and it has 4 prongs, one for each direction. But Im used to having to wire the main, and the ground (two wires for each direction). So how do I connect just one wire to the playstation pad?

just use the ground on the P360 as your common ground for all 4 directions.  ;D

Your p 360 also needs +5 volts, and I have no idea if your playstation can provide that voltage (or if it can provide that voltage grounded to the ground on the playstation pad).
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

if its a playstation 2 dual shock analog stick there should be juice.
between the eccentric motors for the vibration and the LED for the analog indicator there is definetly juice.
but what flavor its coming in i dont know, you should check the hardware bible and see if theres a PS2 dual shock controller pinout.

These guys wire a P360 to a ps controller.  They have plenty of instructions and pictures.

thanks for the link. I may try it that way. I guess I just thought that maybe the 5 volt connections should be seperate from the directions.
