13 cabinets on ebay, all mine, several Mame
« on: March 04, 2004, 12:22:24 am »
Ok, decided to pare my collection down to 6 from like 20. The starting prices on these are not low, but they are fair. I have largely only collected "mint" cabinets, so this stuff is all really nice.

There are also two empties, and a Turbo project available for you Mamers who want to build your own.

Do! Run Run - Possibly dedicated.

That is one of the keepers. For now I am cutting it down to that one pin, 3 vids, (plus the 2 that are coming this weekend, which I may fix and sell, or might just turn right around and ebay them).

The whole thing had just gotten out of hand. I was up to 17 cabinets in my apartment with 2 more on the way this weekend.

A Stargate project, and some dead vertical Jamma game. I had agreed to buy them both a long time ago, but never quite got around to actually getting them.

I already ordered a Stargate panel on ebay for the Stargate, unsure of what I will do with the other machine, but I probably won't keep it.

So... are you the tank abbott looking guy playing in some of the pictures?

If so you don't look much like Phil Collins  ;D

As for the others.  Good luck and I wish you lived closer.

I would LOVE to get ahold of the cocktail tables..  Not that I have ANY money at the moment...  sigh...

The mini space firebird needs better pictures.  Probably the coolest cab you have and its VERY washed out.

I just borrowed a digicam and took tons of pictures of all of them, I will add them in separate threads here.

No, I am not in any of the pictures. Friends Dave & Brett appeared in several, along with some assorted kids.

paige,

Did you see that Yahoo classified I posted on KLOV. They were asking 499.oo for one in the same condition as your Kangaroo. You should have no problem selling yours. :)

Yeah, I saw that. The Kangaroo is one game that I will not be lowering the price on if I am forced to relist it.

After seeing the prices at the Columbus auction this weekend, I'd say Paige's prices are more than fair.  Just need the right opportunity or the right strategy to sell them.  (any auctions coming your way in the future?)

There IS an upcoming auction. But they take a big cut (much bigger than ebay), and then there is the two edged sword of when to unload the games.

If you take them the night before then you can get them in the first row where they bring more cash. But then they might get sabotaged.

If you bring them the day of the auction, then they won't get messed with, but then they won't make the first row, and thus won't go for as much.

Well, I AM willing to hold it for quite a while as long as you pay promptly. Although driving down from Canada to pick up a game would probably cost as much as shipping it would.

And you're not willing to ship even if the person pays for it?  Too bad, that Outrun is sweet....

The PROBLEM with shipping my larger heavier games is that I live on a second floor apartment. There is no way I could crate a full-sized upright and then still get it down the steps. Thus I only offered shipping on those games that I could crate and still get down the steps in one piece.

I also DON'T own a truck, which makes shipping difficult in the first place.

LOL, Funny, I live on the second floor of an apartment and I just finished buying my 4th game.  I have no idea how you fit 20 where you live, you must have a HUGE place!  My roommate was like, dude we don't have room for anymore!  I'm still going to build a dedicated MAME machine though, maybe I'll sell one or two of my others off after awhile, but damn this hobby is SOOOOO addictive, now I also crave a pinball machine...  Good luck on your auctions!

Oh, I have 10 games in the gameroom.
2 in the living room.
One cocktail in the kitchen.
One cocktail in my bedroom.
3 (in various states of disrepair) in the basement.
And two I haven't picked up yet.

Master plan is to cut down to enough to fit them all in my bedroom (the smaller bedroom), and start using the larger (former gameroom), as my bedroom. And actually get some sort of table and chairs in my apartment (you know, OTHER than a cocktail)!

The smaller bedroom should hold 5 games. That is how many my friend (same apartment complex), has in his, and several of his are oversized (Super Strike, STUN Runner, and Dr. Who).

Last day on this stuff.

Also. I WILL ship for BYOAC members, just be aware that shipping WILL add $200-$400 onto the prices of most of the games. Please don't email me for shipping quotes though, as I frankly am not going to have time to check until after the auction.

Also, if you pay right away then I am willing to hold the game/s in mt basement or game room until you can make it up to St. Louis to pick up. My lease is until October, so I am willing to hold that long.

Bonus

Buy any of these BEFORE I have to relist them and mention that you saw them here and I will toss in something extra.

Examples.

Trackball Dynamo Mini - I'll toss in a couple of joysticks and some buttons, add a keywhiz and you will be FULLY in business.
