Having to deal with outside vendors can really screw with you.  At my job, we litterally have hundreds of thousands of different components and if one of them comes in either bad or not what it was supposed to be, it can really put the screws to your customer base. Luckily we have understanding customers that are usually very easy to work with. I trust everyone here who is a current customer or a future potential customer will completely understand

Not that I'm in the market right now or anything but does Zakk have any stock if people wanted to order from him? It sounds like neither of you carry much stock.... which isn't necesarily a bad thing, it's silly to have a ton of overhead.

Actually, that is the most ironic thing about this situation.  I normally have about 500+ optic boards onhand at any given time, the most stock I keep on any part.  Without going into details, let me just say that it was a truly bizarre series of events that caused me to be out of stock on the optic boards.  It is a bitter pill to swallow, to say the least...

Zakk should have some Vortex's available, but people should email him directly to verify what he actually has available.  He operates completely independantly of me, I just try to keep him supplied with parts.  Whenever Zakk is out of something, that is my fault because that means I have been too busy to resupply him.

Good news, I am supposed to have a new batch of optic boards delivered today!


Bad news...  I just found out that I have to leave for Mexico in a couple days and may be out of the country for up to two weeks.  Not that Mexico is a bad place, but the timing couldn't have been worse.

This is already shaping up to be a very busy summer for me.  I have a number of international projects I'm working on at my real job and I will probably be in and out of the country quite a bit throughout the summer.  I anticipate more Oscar closures, hopefully only a week or two at a time, through the summer because I simply won't be around.  Hopefully everyone understands that my real job comes first.

That was back when i was married though, now i just buy what the hell i want when i want heheh  My girl friend  "tries" to tell me what to do, but she don't get very far lol.    Been there done that.  I always ask her " are we married? "  "didn't think so!!"  hehe. Then she gets all pissed at me    , but then we   and all is well again hehe.

Just to add to an answer to an earlier question, I ordered from Zakk last week and got my vortex with knob today, my guess is he probably has enough stock to sell some more, but he didn't say if he was running out - so for as long as Oscar's busy, drop Zakk a line if you "have to have it yesterday" like I did (it was the last part I needed to get moving on the building phase of my CP).

I was notified about 2 hrs ago that I will almost certainly have to go back down to Mexico on Monday, 7/19/04, and I am tentatively scheduled for a 2 week stay.  I will have confirmation tomorrow.  It looks like even if I don't have to leave Monday, then the trip would only be postponed by a few days.

I just wanted to give a heads up to you all that I will be closing my online shopping carts shortly so I can make sure I get all orders out before I leave.  I will also do my best to get another batch of spinners out to Zakk on Monday, too, so anyone that needs one right away can order from him.

It is very doubtful that I will have any access to email while I'm away, so don't be surprised if emails go unanswered for a couple weeks until I return.




Lilwolf - Yes, it is true that my wife does a large portion of the work as well, but there is no way she can keep up by herself and also be a full-time mom with the kid & baby.

Yet again, I have to go out of the country on business.  I leave in the morning, 9/21/04, and I should be back by 9/30/04.
