iPac Ultimate IO board help

Hello, I need some help in getting my board configured. I've hooked up a few buttons for testing and I'm not getting button presses when using a keyboard tester. The board says it is in keyboard mode, is that correct? The Ipac shows in devices as connected, etc. I've checked ground wires and it seems ok but not sure how to test that so any help would be appreciated.
