Anyone know anything about the Baltimore auction this year?
« on: February 28, 2004, 12:15:58 pm »
I checked the website of the auctioneer who has held it there for many years and it is not listed on the schedule this year, www.auctiongamesales.com

It was definatly a successful auction for them, one of the largest I have ever seen. I can't imagine them just skipping it. Whenever I call nobody answers their phone.

Are you talking about the one at Timonium Fairgrounds?

I went the past two years. Definately worth going to.

Yes, the Timonium one, I was getting worried because they had no dates posted.

HOWEVER! GOOD NEWS!

They are having the regular Nov. Auction (held on Oct. 30) AND they are doing one on May the 5th. This is per a phone call to them this morning and he said they are updating the website this week with the new dates. I am probably going to miss the May one to focus on finishing my truck restoration/build, but I am all over the main event.

Per usual, I am already setting cash aside and making my charts and lists.

I live just 15 min south of Baltimore.  Does someone who is going want to together and lend me their truck?  I can lend an extra set of hands for moving your machines and I have a stair/dolly...  If so post here or shoot me an email at hearingprotectionBIGDOG@yahooBIGDOG.com.

Yup, I'm in Odenton.  But I just bought my last cab for awhile tonight, a Mortal Kombat II cab in GREAT shape, with Ultimate MK3 in it.  I'm out of room in my small apt for awhile, but hey, you never know what kind of great deal would make me buy more!  I'm still going to go, so if you are offering a ride with use of your truck I'll be glad to tag along.  I doubt I'll buy anything, but I've got a dolly I can bring for you and I don't mind helping you load/unload.  Shoot me an email as it gets closer.  X

Well, he said the 5th when I called, but it (was) the 15th, and I was unable to attend, did anyone go?

The main event on Oct 30th is already ironclad for me to attend. Got the deisel flatbed lined up, three friends of mine are also going to attend.

I went and had a blast. WonderMellon and Birdtales were both there. I was shopping for a big-screen TV, and I got outbid for a really nice projection TV. Bidding ended at 300$. I didn't end up getting anything, but I had a great time. There weren't as many machine there as there was last Nov. Probably around 200 machines or so.

Prices were so-so, there were lots of classics in the first 2 rows that went for big bucks.

Crap, I missed it.  Does anyone need an extra hand if they go to another one?  I'll help for free for a ride in a truck....

I missed this one too.  Did someone say they are going to have one on Oct. 30th?  Because I don't see it listed on their website.
