  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Like many others here, I use a plexiglass sheet to protect the control panel artwork for my arcade machine.  I've recently decided to do a refresh of the artwork, but the process of removing the plexiglass is a daunting task, as all of the buttons need to be removed, which means getting both the microswitches and RGB modules off, and later re-wired correctly.  To simplify that process, I designed a 3D printable holder for the microswitch and RGB module that will friction fit into the hole for a standard 30mm arcade button.  As I remove each button, this allows me to immediately re-install the microswitch and RGB module back into the same location for safe-keeping until I'm ready to reinstall the actual buttons.  I figured I'd share that here  as it has made the process of removing the plexiglass from my control panel significantly easier.
