Jamma light guns in MAME cab?
« on: February 26, 2004, 04:41:23 pm »
 Hey Gang,

One of the projects I am working on involves a Jamma cabinet with working boards and controllers. I am wondering if there is a way to use the light guns that came with the cabinet (point blank2) in Mame. I am planning on using a J-PAC, I-PAC and arcade VGA in the cab for the controls and video.

or if a dual jamma board could be used and have one jamma setup be the original game (works great) and have the second be MAME.

Any thoughts? Should this work with MAME?

Thanks,

-Goz

No you cant.  Should be somewhat doable because your using the same monitor / gun (so the optics are the same) but nobody is talking about writing a driver.

would be VERY nice because there aren't any good solutions.

take note though..

actlabs is VERY good on allowing you to hack their guns.  They will tell you how (will void warranty)... but they want us happy..

They are ok guns... not great.

As for the dual jamma boards... never tried it myself.  But its really one plug to change.  so it probably isnt' worth buying a board to do it... might as well open it up and swap it.
