ArcadeSD credit question
« on: August 01, 2021, 05:48:43 pm »
I recently built a cab using an ArcadeSD board.  Everything is running great.  I've used most of the "advanced" features (flashing P1/P2 LEDs, trackball, 4/8-way switching, etc.)  However, there's one problem that I haven't been able to figure out.

I want people to have to put in a coin to play a game but it seems there's an easy way to work around this requirement.

I have the board set in Arcade operating mode, 1 credit per coin, no bonus.

The problem is that pressing P1 button A from the game list flashes off of the games menu for a second, issues a credit and then returns to the games menu.  I should mention that P1 button A, start 1 and coin 1 all work as expected otherwise.

Am I missing an obvious setting somewhere to disable this functionality?

As a secondary question, am I correct in my understanding that there's no inherent difference between Arcade mode and Home mode besides each one allowing you to configure the operating setting differently and quickly switch between them?
