Cruis'n World, where to find +5V or +12V source?

Hi again guys

I need to find a connector or something that has +5V or +12V, for a GBS-scaler I am installing in the cabinet. I would like an easy place - if possible - to tap the voltage from. I was looking at the wheel driver board (see picture below) which has a free connector..I wonder if there's +5V or +12V on any of those pins. Does anybody know the pinout? The manual states nothing.

What about a digital voltmeter to directly measure pin voltages?

Critical data point:  How much current does the GBS-scaler draw?
- If it's not more than 100-200 mA, you should be able to get it from the wheel driver board with no problem.
- Check the trace thickness connecting the wheel driver board 12v pins.  The thicker the traces, the more current it can handle without overheating.

The wheel driver board schematic on page 57 (lower right) of the manual here shows ground is on pin 10 of P3+P4, and 12v is on pins 2, 4, 6, and 8 of both connectors.

The 12v pins for P3 and P4 are tied together on the wheel driver board.

From your picture, it looks like 12v and ground from the power supply come in on the P3 connector.
- If so, you should be able to use P4 to power your GBS-scaler.

or

If the current draw is more than 500mA, you might be better off tapping into the power supply wiring.   

The power supply on page 38 mentions that there are three 5v lines (pins 1, 2, and 3), a 12v line (pin 8 ), and three ground lines. (pins 4, 5, and 6)

I believe that the GBS-8200 draw around 0.5A. So, I guess I am going for the power supply output then

Just checked the GBS-8200 manual here and it needs 5V, 2A.

Power       DC5V 2A +/- 0.5v 

If the power supply doesn't have enough wiggle room on the 5v rail, you might need to give that thing it's own power supply.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll measure the current draw of the board. As you state, the manual calls for 2.5A. However, this site measured the current draw to be 0.4A:
