  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hey guys,

Let me see if I can articulate this, it's complicated what I'm trying to do and get it to work.

I've been trying to use an Xtension Control Panel with a Legends Core puck with no luck but almost there, just one key away.

To begin with, most games can't be remapped that come with the Legends Core or CoinopsX from inside the game menu. I always get a pop up message when I go to menu mode to remap keys and it says this game or that game cannot be remapped. I am not using atgames control panel is probably why. So I have to do the mapping through the Xtension Control panel software side and not the Legends Core emulator game side.

I've mapped pretty much every button and use except when it ask me to actually start the game after I coin up. So there's no way to start player one on most games on the Xtension, or if there are enough credits I have no way to start player two.

I have both a player one and a player two button on the Xtension Control Panel in keyboard mode to keys 1 and 2 on the keyboard (starts Hyperspin games fine in keyboard mode) but those buttons don't work on the Legends Core puck since I have to run the Xtension in X-input mode to act like an Xbox controller or similar controllers Because the Legends Core recognizes my Xtension Control Panel as an Xbox or similar controller.

I believe I would need the name of the keyboard keys that are equivalent to an Xbox start player one button and start player 2 on the Xbox controller to solve this. I've googled and tried everything I found but to no avail.

I could then take those keyboard keys and input them into WinIpak ver 2 software for the Xtension and see if I could remap the two start game buttons on the miniIPAK inside the Xtension and finally get a player one and player 2 start buttons working and play some games off the Core.

Does anyone know what the keyboard key equivalents are for player one and two off of Legends Ultimate buttons or Xbox controller buttons when playing on the Legends Core?

I've been at this for days, any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
