PacLed64 no longer recognized by Windows
« on: June 04, 2021, 09:23:37 am »
My boss gave me an old PacLed64 board without any documents. I searched the web and downloaded the PacDriveSDK. The board was listed under PacDriveDemo.exe so I played around. I changed the device Id from 1 up to 3 and it was still shown in the list. After setting to 4 it disappeared. Later the device was recognized as 'U-HID firmware upgrade' in Windows 10's device manager after I installed the downloaded driver. The other programs like  PACLED64 and U-HID configuration Utility show 'NO DEVICE' or 'Board available: None'. In other words, I seemed to change the board from PacLed64 to something else by setting the device Id. Did I erase anything? Can I reset or restore it? What can I do by now? Thank you for your attention.

The first thing that I would try is to go into the PC's control panel - device manager and delete the PacLed64 entry.  Then re-insert it and see how Windows recognizes it.

If that doesn't work, email Andy at Ultimarc.  He'll sort it out quickly for you.
