I doubt anyone here will watch this entire video, but if you want to see some top class woodwork then sit back and enjoy.  This is what gets OND drooling.  It's not 'over engineered' construction it's simply a design being executed at the highest level resulting in something really beautiful.  *Side note.  Check the use of 3 coats of automotive clear coat in the surface finishing.  Inspirational.

Good watch. He definitely has gathered some good techniques that work well for him. I don't think I could get myself to ever buy a 5k tonearm or cartridge, but if I ever stumble across a quality turntable that needs a plinth upgrade, I can start here for inspiration.

That was fantastic.  I kept having those "Bob Ross" feelings like he was going to ruin it.  But it just kept getting better as he went along.  This has me rethinking wood laminate. I've tried it before with middling results.

Just watched the whole thing.  The round over on the veneer edges is something I never would have done but the stain married the two surfaces perfectly.

Also, $20,000 record players?  Just the fact that such a thing exists is crazy never mind the fact that there is apparently an entire niche industry for it.  Man, there is so much money out there.

As an additional hobby, I make two piece custom pool cues.  The best finish is a UV system, cost thousands to set up.  Many cue makes use automotive clear coat for the final finish.

I, use a brand of CA called Glu Boost for the finish coat.  Yes, I use super glue as a finish.
