  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hi.

I’ve been searching for quite a while for info about setting up an Arcade With four players (6 buttons for p1 and p2 and 4 buttons for p3 p4  plus Start and Select buttons for each) without any clear info on what hardware i actually need to make sure that all said number buttons will light up with RGB according to Ledblinky.
The cabinet will be built by a local arcade cabinet-seller and i will use my Launchbox-dedicated Windows Pc With Ledblinky software installed running almost everything in Retroarch (SNES, NES, Windows games, MAME, Sega, Amiga etc) I want to set things up so that each game will get the «jump»- colored green, and the «attack»-button red and so on.

I get the impression that ultimarc.com is a good Place to buy from, but what product should i purchase, and how many?
If anyone could help me end up with a list of what i need. What buttons, cables, controllers and anything else i might forget, i could send this to the arcade builder and get everything that has to do with the physical build ready upon delivery, so that i can do the programming and software-based setup myself :)

I'd be interested in this info too! I'm pretty much looking to have the same set up. I just watched a video on Youtube of a guy that purchased the Game Room Solutions 4-player kit and he installed the RGB Ultimarc buttons. Looked like he has a similar setup. I'll see if I can find the link again.

Thanks for the video link!

Is setting up viable no-keyboard-emulating controllers for four players in steam doable with the Ultimate I/O-boards? Would it work setting up four controllers with just one?
My  plan is to use one Ultimate I/O and will mainly be playing four player indie like Towerfall, Duck game and Killer Queen Black which does not require 360-sticks but do require "gamepads" as controllers as the most convenient way of setting things up rather than having to map keyboard shortcuts.
I've heard that it could be troublesome to set up several controllers via just one board.
