I started working on this chart a while ago.  I just put it on my website.  It's a chart of compatibility of several lightguns with different operating systems and using multiple lightguns.

If anyone has any info about any other lightguns, I'd be happy to add it.

Act-labs tv light guns work very well dual under XP on a tv.

In my opinion the only 2 guns even worth using are the act-labs pc monitor gun or the tv gun.
My statements are my own opinions. They have the value that the reader gives them. My opinion of my opinion varies between foolish and brilliant and these opinions often change with new information.

Wait a minute...you don't need MAME+Analog for the TV guns??  When did this happen?

Since the release of the TV guns.  The reason is that the dual TV guns set acts as one mouse (a four button mouse I believe). It knows who fired the shot by the button number.  At least that's the way I understand it.

How would that work with light gun games?  Normaly you can see your cursor on the screen.  What happens if you shoot at the same time?

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

It would be a problem if you did shoot at exactly (down to the millisecond) the same time.  However it is very unlikely that you'll pull the trigger during the same millisecond.  More likely is the fact that it'll register quite a few milliseconds later.  Act-Labs probably designed it with that fact in mind.  As long as your shots are over ~34 milliseconds (the time for the electron gun to scan the screen once) apart, which is highly likely, then you are okay.
