4.50" Trackball Assembly

Hi there. I'm wanting to find how I either make a 4.50" atari trackball assembly or BETTER YET purchase it from someone/somewhere. I'm wanting to use it for my retro-pi missile command. The 4.50" ball felt so right when I was playing this game. anything else is just gonna detract from that feeling I had. I can get the ball and shafts but literally I cannot find anyone out there that will sell one to me.  The optocouplers and boards  and encoder wheels have been made of unobtainium.

I'd rather not use the 3" if I could somehow get the 4.50"
does anyone have a idea?

There must be a few Missile Command fans among the Mame dev crew apparently because there is a game specific setting for the ball size you are using.

Between that and the other sensitivity settings you can get a good 3" ball to feel just right.

Unless you are a die hard purist for that 4" ball then you can actually save yourself some expense and drama that way and not be disappointed in terms of playability.
