I just ordered an Imperial 3" green trackball with PS/2 connector.
How can this trackball be mounted without the screws showing?

Is there any way to get my trackball mounted like this?

If so, is this what I need?

Hope you didn't pay too much for that ball, I've got a ton of used ones for cheap.

That being said, your mounting plate appears to have threaded holes where the trackball mounts to.  The bolts should go from the underside and screw into them.

I used a happs no bolts showing plate. Its slightly smaller than the betson plate but the bolt holes are the same. You will have to drill out the holes on the trackball a little but thats easy and it works great.

If you want to hid the mounting plate under some art work.  You would need to countersink the area where you'll be mounting the track ball.

IE: Rotor out the area to @ the depth of the mounting plate.

It's easy.  I just did it last night.

I think I got it for a great price!
I got a 3" green trackball with a ps/2 connector for $79.
I didn't want to do any hacking so that's why I didn't get the molex type.
Also, I didn't want to use an optipac.

Now, here is another question.

I see this

this

and this

What's the advantage or disadvantage to using the Happs no bolts showing plate?
Is the no bolt showing plate just for show or does it add extra mounting security to the trackball?

Thanks for answering my questions guys!

If you want the mounting plate for the happs trackball, I have an extra one here.  Maybe we can work out a cheap deal for you.  I'll give it to you at half the cost of happs where I bought it. Plus you pay shipping?
If not, if anyone else wants it, let me know.
