Wiring questions ---
« on: February 20, 2004, 10:36:26 am »
Ok I'm using multiple 25 pin parallel cables to connect my detachable panel to the cabinet...  Also, I'm using a 27" monitor that was taken out of the case.  It's attached to its front panel  (power, input switches, etc) by 25 wires (amazingly!!).. I cut the wires going from the monitor to the front panel, and am going to extend them (and make the panel detachable) using a 25 pin parallel cable as well.

The problem is, the guage of the wire in the 25 pin cable and the guage of the wire on the monitor wires are DRASTICALLY different.

(the 25 pin has flimsy stranded wire.  The Montior uses something like a 20 or 18 guage, much thicker stranded wire)..

What's the best way to connect the 25 pin cables' wires to the 25 wires from the television?

Thanks in advance!   ;D
