Noob trying to get steering wheel to work (PC, OutRun 2006)

Hi,
I've got Windows Vista 32-bit. OutRun 2006. Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP (USB).
I've installed Logitech Profiler and calibrated.
The problem is I can't calibrate the accelerator or brake pedal under Configuration in OutRun 2006. Having pressed the pedal down, pressing Enter or ESC doesn't seem to do anything:

If I recall correctly, you need to press one of the face buttons on your wheel to get it to register that you're trying to calibrate a gas or brake axis. On my DFGT I think it was the X button. You'll know it's worked, because you'll get a confirmation noise and the axis should look different on screen and prompt you to press it down or something. You then need to follow the instructions about pressing that pedal down and pressing whatever the confirmation button was to register it.

Thank you, I've worked it out. It's not that intuitive at all.
You have to tap the relevant pedal to tell it which one you want to assign, then wait about four seconds, then it asks you to press the pedal to the max, then release it etc.
