How Do I use a regular TV with no S-Video?
« on: February 18, 2004, 09:50:58 am »
I have a 20" color TV sitting in my basement collecting durt but it does not have an S-Video input, just a regular cable adapater and some rca jacks. Is there some device that will cobv coax in and a rca in. Is there something that will convert a nine pin seriazl output from my computer into either an rca or coax input for the TV or am I dreaming in technicolor?

If possible and if you've done it, how does the arcade game look? look? Goofy?

Thanks for the help.

I've got a RCA/ svid adapter cable. I used to plug my laptop into the composite jack on a TV once to see how it would look. Looked fine to me.

I haven't heard of anyone getting good results with anything other then scart or svid

You would probably get good results if you had a good converter box (not card)... but I'm talking ones that are a few hundred to a few thousand used for non-home use.

But if you have a tv-out card... the try it and see what you come up with...
