Installed Xin MO Encoder over Ipac4
« on: March 13, 2020, 07:35:15 am »
After not getting anywhere with the Ipac4 and setting it up as a controller i was told to purchase a 2 player  Xin Mo  encoder as this will emulate Controllers rather than the Ipac as a keyboard first.

All my buttons/switches appear to be working under game controller settings but nothing works at all in any of my games,i was then advised nothing will work until i then set it up with X360ce. Do i have to do this with everygame i want to play? I was told this was just plug and play and now nothing works. I took 3 months building a cab to get beat on this part.

I just want my joysticks and buttons to be emulated as a gamepad in games like MK11/Injustice 2  etc etc.

I don't really play any of those newer games so I could be wrong.

But I believe once you have set it up and the PC thinks its a 360 controller it should work with all games that will play with a 360 controller.
Older games should play fine with it registered as a regular controller.

Thats what i thought as well, but any game i start up that has xbox controller setup, doesnt work at all.

In control panel/game controllers it recognises the board as "XinMotek controller" and as i say the buttons seem to work, but when i start any game nothing at all.

Getting really frustrated now tbh, building a cab and this is the issue i have and cant play anything.

Im gonna try the X360ce setup later see how that works

In the mean time play older pre 360 era games.

They should work fine.
Afraid this is yet another thing to blame on MS.

Eh not really.  Every xinput controller I've used, third party or otherwise, has shown up as an xinput controller and worked automatically.  If it isn't working then it isn't an xinput controller.... it's just a usb direct input gamepad.  Direct input and xinput are NOT the same thing.

I got all the buttons wired up and they are recognised in the control panel game controller section,i then downloaded X360ce and the buttons appear to match whats wired up to the Xin Mo, Blue(x) Green (A) etc etc.....but when i start any PC game that has an xbox controller needed to play nothing happens at all in menus or gameplay.

Anyone help me out here?

Edit: On a sidenote ive got that frustrated now that ive ordered 2 x Zero Delay encoders now,may as well try them to see if i get anywhere,id prefer Xin MO to work though.
