This dude has helped a lot of people here, and I know he has helped me. Even gave me a few ---smurfette--- slaps of truth, but apparently he is experiencing some major health issues. I copied this from a post on Facebook, and provided the link to the Go Fund Me... Give if you can.
https://www.gofundme.com/f/2h4nf-testIf you've been in this hobby for awhile you may know Paige Oliver from the St. Louis area. Here's been in the hobby for decades, helped me out with monitor repair when I was just getting into arcades 7 years ago. Always a genuine stand up guy, but he's currently in a bad spot.
The week before Christmas he got sick and eventually stopped breathing and was taken to the hospital. He was put into a coma and due to a bacterial infection his blood became septic and his organs began to shut down. Part of his leg had to be amputated and his kidneys are not currently working so he's on dialysis. His wife is doing her best she can with their daughter, dog, work, staying with Paige in the hospital etc.. I can't start to understand how hard this must be for them and for it to start over the holidays, the scare of surgery and knowing recovery will be a long process.
I have never shared a go fund me before, but true arcade collectors are a small community and we end up knowing each other by messages, text and even in person. So if you know him or don't and have the means to help out a fellow arcade collector who also happens to be a good decent person please consider donating. I can't even imagine the cost in money or how mentally difficult this must be for him and his family. He's on fb and in this group, so even if you can't help out money wise, maybe drop the man a message, and hope for a speedy recovery.
