Hey there, ditch Mame32, and go with Mamewah as a front end and just use the regular Mame executable.

For your cocktail cab, check out this

http://www.mame.net/mamefaq.html#h09

and you'll also have to make use of these features in your mame.ini depending on how your monitor is set up now.

norotate                1
ror                         0
rol                          0
autoror                  0

making headway - installed pivot pro trial for screen rotation - is there another free alternative anywhere?

got mamewah working - however it is not rotated - would that be a graphics card issue? or a setup issue?

All you have to do with Mame32 is go into the game hit tab and go into dip-switches and arrow down to cabinet which would be defaulted to upright, using the arrow right button change cabinet from upright to cocktail, easy.

There is probably an easier way to do it so you don't have to adjust every game individually, I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you a better way to do it.

If you are using a newer ATI or Nvidia card, the latest drivers have screen rotation built right in, no need for any other software.

As for Mamewah and rotation, not sure, Minwah would be the guy to ask that one.

mamewah is the best and worst FE out there IMO.

best because it is so flexible (not tied to mame or even emulation), but worst because the setup is a royal PITA for the first couple of times.

That said, I use mamewah in all of my cabs now.
5 MAME cabs and counting...

Ever wonder what full side art looks like?
