Question for those in the know...

I am looking at photos of old Jukeboxes and one particular model, I believe the Rockola 1468 Tempo 1 is what it's called. Looks great. I'm curious though what the blue portion is wrapped in? It looks like a vinyl of some sort. Unfortunately I can only go off photos and what I can find online and nothing has jumped out as being the answer. Was hoping one of the Jukebox folk here may know. Any help would be appreciated.

While I don't know what that one specifically is, most of the jukes of this era where wrapped in almost a fabric type of material. often woven with plastic filaments and whatnot to make it shiny and sparkly.
