KLOV: Game Introduction
Destroy aliens before they complete a tunnel system that connects the top and bottom of the screen together. Destroy or shove blue tunnels or shove pink tunnels to rearrange them and prevent the aliens from completing their mission. Use a "smart bomb" to destroy all enemies, and your own agent if you're not careful, in a large area. Earn additional bombs by destroying blue sections of tunnel. End the round by destroying a preset number of aliens.
Game Play
Your man begins each life in the center of the screen. At the top are blue tunnel "sections" and at the bottom are pink ones. Aliens start at the bottom of the screen in the pink sections. As they move through, they can build new sections in any direction.
There are four types of enemies:

Blockers - These foes build the tunnels and they can exit the tunnel system or be forced out. If they exit the tunnels, they produce Expelers and quickly make their way to the bottom of the screen to re-enter the tunnels. This is the only time that they are vulnerable.
Expelers - These enemies, produced by the Blockers, chase your agent around the screen and attempt to corner him. They travel at different speeds, generally moving faster as they get closer to your man.
Anngrers - These cubed-shaped foes are invulnerable to your SWAT agent's fire. Shooting this type of enemy will cause it to chase your man very quickly. They can be destroyed by using bombs, but a new Anngrer will be created in its place at the bottom of the screen. These enemies can travel in and out of the tunnel system wherever they choose.
Sweepers - Along with additional enemy fire, these foes appear in pairs on the left and right sides of the tunnel along if the bottom and top portions of the screen are connected by one continuous tunnel. They will line up with each other on either side of your SWAT agent and fire at him. Sweepers require multiple shots to be destroyed.
Your man, a futuristic SWAT agent, can shoot blue tunnel sections to destroy them. Pink tunnels can not be destroyed by your man, but may be "shoved" off the screen by your SWAT agent if he pushes against them and fires. Tunnel sections on the opposite side will whiz off the screen if unobstructed or rest against another tunnel section if one blocks it. Pink blocks which are no longer connected to the bottom turn blue and float toward the top.

Your SWAT agent, who rides around the screen on a small hoverboard, begins his mission with a limited number of "bombs" which he can use to destroy all enemies in a large area, including the "indestructible" Anngrers. Additional bombs are earned for every 10 blue tunnel sections destroyed.

The round ends when a predetermined number of Blockers are destroyed. Each subsequent round requires a greater number of Blockers to be destroyed to advance to the next round.

Your agent loses a life if he is caught by an alien, hit by alien fire, or caught in the blast radius of his own bombs. Only one additional life, if set, can be awarded per game.

GOOD LUCK!

I don't know like you guys, but I've never seen this game in arcades. Played it by pure chance in MAME and I loved it. Used to play it a lot actually for awhile. I found it very easy to get into and not difficult to play.
Unfortunately it's been awhile since I played it last time so I don't remember much how to score more point. If Yamatetsu decides to play it, he will figure it out for you all  ;)
After one try:

That's a tough one. No strategywiki, no gamefaqs, no decent youtube vids. The guy who made the vid that you posted clearly has no idea what he is doing, the other vids are not any better.

I'd say the best way of getting points is lining some baddies up and pushing a block after them, Pengo-style. I managed to get 9,900 points for killing a few of them simultaneously, I think that's the highest you can get.
Another way would be using the bomb and getting very lucky, since the thing goes off aprox five years after being fired, it's a crapshoot. Still, 9,900 points are possible with that one.

In case anyone wonders how the fonk a level is completed: You have to kill a set number of baddies, but not any old bad guys, it has to be the basket balls. This gives a whole new meaning to 'Let's shoot some balls!' The number of baddies to kill is displayed under the score. Took me a while to figure that out.

Another 4 way game that should have been 8 way. How did a cool name like SWAT get blown on a turd like this. And your own bombs kill you.

Imagine that - a weapon that doesn't discriminate between friend or foe. A ridiculous concept.

I haven't used the bombs at all, since they detonate approx 5 years after you have deployed them. Accidentally I found that you can trigger them by shooting them. It still takes some time before the explosion, but it's way more useful. So, deploy the bomb while the baddies are still a bit away, shoot it immediately, watch some aliens getting fried.

Have a look at this one, the first life makes me look extremely competent, the next 3 make me look pretty dumb.

Oh, this is a shooty game, not a selectively pushy game like Pengo. That changes everything.

So using your bomb is the only way of getting the big points in this?

You can make 9,990 points by killing a few of the aliens simultaneously with a block, but that's harder than just releasing a few of them and then frying the lot. It also takes more time, which you don't have in the later levels.

I mostly use bombs to kill most of the baddies, but you definitely will be shooting a lot of blue blocks to clear the screen and to fill your bomb meter.

Crap. Holiday parties (aka hangovers) distracted me from posting a score.
I would have been good for third place!

Weird game though. Not a game Iíd say Iíd want to play again.

Iím going to make more of an effort to get back into this comp. itís been too long.

Yeah, pbj has been berating me lately for not joining in on these comps.

Truth be told, I only stopped participating in these because I took a long break from emulation. But I recently hooked up an emulation machine to one of my cabinets (was for a party), so I should be able to participate more now.
