Star Wars coin settings with MiniPac
« on: November 13, 2019, 04:14:05 pm »
Hi All

I’m finalising my Star Wars Upright Cabinet build and I have a small issue I could do with some assistance on.

I have a few menu buttons on the cab, including Escape, Coin 1, Player 1 etc. hooked up to a MiniPac.

I’ve tested it on a few games (PacMan, Outrun etc.) and they work perfectly. However, with Star Wars it refuses to recognise the Coin button. With a USB keyboard also connected it does recognise the “5” key and provides credit.

I’ve dropped onto the desktop, opened notepad and it registers as a “5” key press, so all seems to be working fine.

I’ve checked the MAME setting for Star Wars and it shows Key 5 for coin, so not sure why it’s not working?

Any advice gratefully appreciated! Pretty pointless having a dedicated cab if I can’t get credit to play!!

Cheers

Valiant
