using other console controllers on ps1,ps2?

hi, my first post here and am glad to join arcadecontrollers

I was wondering whether it is possible to use other console controllers on the playstation or PS2. In particular im wanting to hook up a dreamcast pad if possible or even a saturn pad.

I have had a look around for console adpaters but they mainly seem to be PSX to (which ever console) but not vice versa. I f anyone could shed some light on the subject that would be great.
