Karate Champ and Bad Speech

Hi folks,

I'm using MAME 0.175 and the speech in Karate Champ sounds very slow....ie.  Begin sounds like Bbbbbbeeeeegggggiiiiin :) 

I've tried other MAME versions, but the same issue. 

Wanted to check in here if anyone has had the same experience and if so, what was the fix.

Sounds like it's not running at full speed.

Launch game and press F11 to see frameskip and speed in the upper right corner of the screen.  (a stable "skip 0/10 100%" is perfect)
