  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
So I'm looking for a way to exit the model 2 n 3 emulators without the use of hitting the escape button on the bluetooth keyboard on my arcade cabinet. I'm looking to map it to a button on my control panel, but I don't see any option, nothing in config files I can change, etc. I would think there'd be some sort of way (custom script, maybe just something easy I'm missing)?

If you're using an IPac, it has "shifted functions" enabled by default.

Press and hold "P1 Start", then press "P2 Start" to send an "ESC" keystroke.

Full list of default shifted functions in the right column here.
- You may want to disable "TAB" to keep kids and/or drunk friends out of the menus.   :lol

If you aren't using an encoder with shifted functions, there are some ahk scripts that have been posted around here that will, for example, send an "ESC" if you hold down a certain button for about 3 seconds.

No, I'm just using a zero delay encoder with Happ with on side, and a u360 with the regular harness on the other. I also run hyperspin, so there's always conflicts there.....I run one joy2key for the zero delay to control the hyperspin menus. Should I try the ahk,  connect it to the model 3?

I'll be willing to make a small wager it won't work, or won't work correctly n cause a conflict elsewhere combining the exit key with other programs it's not supposed to be connected to. I've had a lot of problems with using hyperspin n there controls causing house types of conflicts.
