USB zero delay encoder question
« on: May 19, 2019, 05:44:16 pm »
Hello. Newbie here building my first control panel. The USB encoder came with a usb-b to usb cord but I don't have room to use it on the control panel I'm building, the usb-b sticks out too far. The (other) USB receptacle on the board is a 5-pin jst. My other boards only had 4 pins so those cables won't work. What is the 5th pin on this USB slot? There is a "G" and a "GND" (and d+, d-, vdd) What is the "G"? Does anyone know where I can buy the 5-pin jst xh to USB cable? The board I have is the "new" black version SJ@?? from Amazon.
