IPAC Problems.. HELP!
« on: February 12, 2004, 03:48:16 am »
Hey, I have an old IPAC...had it for a few years. Anyway, suddenly the shift functions stopped working! And for a few minutes the UP key wasn't working right, I restarted and unplugged it and re-plugged it in and that was working again (UP) but the shift functions are all gone.. WTF is going on? is this thing dying? Any ideas?

I'm running Win XP, USB IPAC

Thanks!

My first guess would be a stuck button.
I had a wire end that I missed clipping when I installed mine; and it worked great for about a month before that wire end got shorted to the NC contact on the switch.
My shift functions quit working when that happened.

If you are having problems with your UP function as well, check that one first.
It is quite likely the culprit.
