I can only think it's some kind of spinner that replaces rotate left/right, perhaps with a push function for firing? But as Asteroids doesn't use analog controls, God knows...

They just hijacked the picture of that cab. That is some stupid eye tracking game. The cab has no controls. I think it is called Eye Asteroids.

I think if you dig around on AliExpress you'll find there's a steering wheel that's meant to slide down onto that spinner.  Can't remember now how I found it, but I remember seeing it.
